Missionary Position
Based on Fales’ journals and adventures as a Mormon missionary in Portugal, this play is an exploration of all rites of passage. Anyone who has ever felt the agony, ecstasy, and insanity of turning their will and their life over to a socio-economic-political-tax-exempt-multi-national-corporation posing as the kingdom of god on earth (and over-run by hot young men in white shirts and ties) will appreciate this smart and sexy look at extreme religious devotion.
This play has its world premiere at Celebration Theatre in Los Angeles Jan. 9th (2009)

Who's Your Daddy?
In search of his lost Greek Great-grandfather, Fales confronts his own failings as a son and father finding redemption in the shared demons of an unexpected nemisis.
This fantasia on fatherhood transcends Mormonism and will thrill you as it takes you to places you never knew you never knew but secretly wanted to go!
Any parent or child who has ever felt estranged or alienated will appreciate this haunting, hilarious, and powerful piece on family reconciliation.

Conversations with Heavenly Mother: An Uncommon Diva
Steven Fales channels Heavenly Mother, the wife of Heavenly Father (“We weren’t always Mormon, you know!”), and takes audiences on journey through eternity as she humorously and scathingly talks about her evolution as the First Wife of God, Mother of All Creation, and Hollywood Legend.
This piece had a reading at Sunstone Symposium Summer and is currently in development.

Cabaret
As seen at Joe’s Pub in NY and across the country, this sexy and whimsical cabaret is a ruthless examination of our self-absorbed society using the multi-talented Fales as a microcosm. But with the help of his new Higher Power (She’s fabulous), he’s beginning to see the light as he continues to put Utah on the MAP!
Fales confesses, “God has seen me through excommunication, divorce, prostitution, and drugs, now we’re working on narcissism—and it’s not going well. When everything you know about being human comes from Utah; about being American comes from Las Vegas; and about being gay comes from the Penthouses of New York—be very afraid!”
This outrageous and poignant cabaret act includes original songs written by Fales and outrageous medleys and parodies including the popular “Mormon Broadway Medley” and his signature song “Mormon American Princess”.
